Job Description

Summary/Objective: The Maintenance Representative is responsible for monitoring vendor performance and the conduction of work-in-progress surveillance of Sun Country Airlines’ aircraft undergoing heavy maintenance. This position acts as a liaison between Sun Country Airlines and third party contract maintenance providers. In addition, the Maintenance Representative may assist in the aircraft acquisition process by providing onsite surveillance during the delivery and/or redelivery of aircraft.

Essential Functions:

1. Monitor vendor performance during heavy maintenance visit to identify the ability of the vendor to meet delivery date and ensure Sun Country Airlines’ policy and procedures are being adhered to.

2. Authorize labor hours of “over & above” labor at the heavy maintenance visit.

3. Assist vendor with procurement of materials through MSP Materials.

4. Conduct daily work-in progress surveillance to ensure all aircraft records and maintenance documentation is being completed in accordance with Sun Country Airlines General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and the maintenance provider agreement established between Sun Country Airlines and the maintenance provider.

5. Coordinate and report any discrepancy noted during the work-in progress surveillance that may impact the return-to-service time of the aircraft to the Manager Maintenance Control/Maintenance Planning.

6. Assist maintenance provider with additional support/research required from other Sun Country Airlines’ departments such as: Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Materials, Planning, Records, Technical Publications, TRAX/IT, etc.

7. Review each completed item of maintenance to ensure the documentation is complete, accurate, and in accordance with Sun Country Airlines GMM and maintenance provider agreements (and releases the aircraft in TRAX ).

8. Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines.

9. Assist in any other duties as directed by the Manager Maintenance Control/Maintenance Planning.

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Work Environment: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.

Travel: This position requires extensive travel (>95%) away from Home of Record.

Required Education and Experience: Airframe and Powerplant Certificate along with 8-10 years of aviation experience. The selecting official has the ability to waiver experience requirements when sufficient education and work experience meet or exceed requirements.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Valid U.S. Passport required.

Required Experience
