Maintenance Operations Controller

Exciting new Permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Operations Controller based in Luton.

Following a recent expansion, our client who is the number one low cost airline in the UK is currently looking to expand their team in Luton with an experienced Maintenance Operations Controller

As Maintenance Operations Controller, it is your responsibility to ensure that all appropriate legislation and company procedures are adhered to in order for the company to remain compliant, and aircraft remain airworthy. You will ensure that defect investigations/ rectification actions are progressed quickly and efficiently, following appropriate OEM/ airline documentation and procedures. Managing all AOG events to ensure a prompt return to service across a large and expanding network, it is also the responsibility of the MOC to maintain a legible and objective event log during the shift period to ensure continuity of information at shift handover. Ensuring all parties are kept updated and relevant communications are distributed effectively, you will ensure the MOC department operates effectively and efficiently at all times.

Core/ Key Responsibilities:

  • It is essential that you are a B1 or B2 licensed engineer with the ability to gain company Type authorisations
  • Extensive Airbus A320 family experience is crucial
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within aviation engineering is preferred, accompanied by experience covering line and base maintenance
  • You will also have a good working knowledge of both Part 145 regulations and Airline Part M requirements, partnered with a knowledge of CAA, EASA and FOCA
  • A good understanding of maintenance schedules is also needed
  • Knowledge of the AMOS IT system is preferred, but not essential
  • This role will suit an individual able to adapt to a changing operational environment, with the ability to communicate to a wide community of both suppliers and customers
