British International Helicopters (BIH) has an immediate and exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager. Based in Newquay you will oversee the Pt 145 operation, the role requiring the scheduling and planning of the maintenance functions to support BIH’s operations at our UK bases and worldwide, including the Falkland Islands.  Travel to the Falklands will be required as part of this role (approximately 1 week per quarter)

The successful candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills and be fully IT literate. You must be able to work with others and off your own initiative whilst under pressure, with the ability to reach tight deadlines to maintain the availability of our aircraft within an EASA regulated operation. Your organisational skills will be relied on for long term maintenance planning and new project management.  Effective and positive interaction within a small team environment is essential.

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge:

Essential:

Knowledge and understanding of Pt 145 regulations

Previous experience in a management role within a Pt 145 organisation

A proven maintenance planning record.

Understanding of the benefits of tailored, timely and accurate maintenance planning including OEM support.

Desirable:

EASA Pt 66 Licensed aircraft engineer

Knowledge and understanding of Aerotrac aircraft fleet management IT system.


Project management team experience.
Knowledge of Air Safety Management Systems.

Experience of PC based planning management applications (preferably aerospace related).

Core hrs 37.5 per week.
