PST Electronic Materials is a manufacturer of machined parts used in industrial processes and provides services to the semiconductor industry.

Currently, we are looking for a Maintenance/Engineering Intern to support our Operations team in our Electronic Materials Division in Orangeburg, NY. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to an industrial operation. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Technicians and cross functional teams, the intern will support the preventive maintenance program.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Follow all procedures administered by Safety, Quality, Maintenance and Operations.

Develop preventive maintenance procedures for key pieces of critical equipment.

*

Develop spare parts needs for critical equipment.

*

Research in-house manuals and available online information for PM and spare parts requirements

*

Communicate with OEM’s, contractors and in-house experts to assemble requirements.

*

Participate in equipment FMEA’s

*

Update preventive maintenance work instructions.

*

Update CMMS system.

*

Update inhouse library of technical information.

*

5S spare part storage

*

Lead/Support the training activities associated with new PM procedures.

*

Support continuous improvement of the maintenance planning and execution functions.

*

Participate in energy usage reduction studies.

*

Support the analysis and execution of equipment upgrade projects.

*

Contribute to next generation equipment / automation roadmap.

Qualifications

•Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in pursuit of a Engineering degree

•Minimum grade point average of 3.0 preferred

•Understanding and experience creating and reading mechanical drawings (CAD.)

•Desired majors include: Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.

•Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and maintain records

•Ability to manage multiple priorities

•Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft suite programs

•Local candidates will be given preference
