Summary Statement:Applies advanced technical skills and knowledge and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations relative to the installation and repair of electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. Installs data and control wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.Installs and maintains power and control wiring to machines and equipment and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.Operates machinery and equipment such as robot controller, and programmable controller to program automated machinery to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty printed circuit boards and other electronic components. Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment and replaces electric motor bearings. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices. Perform maintenance duties within other maintenance disciplines to include repair of mechanical malfunctions, assembly, installation and repair of machines, pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems. Promotes safety and quality in primary discipline, and assists in the monitoring and quality control of projects being performed by outside contractors. Ancillary Functions and Responsibilities: Participate on emergency response teams including First Aid Team, Chemical Spill Response Team, and other duties as assigned.Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Formal Education, Training and Work Experience:Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. Associate level degree or technical school or equivalent training or experience and four (4) to seven (7) or more years of directly related experience. Holders of a valid Journeyman Electrician License are preferred.Level of Supervision Required:The level of supervision required described here is representative of that which must be met by a Stakeholder to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Works under general supervision. Work is reviewed for completion to quality standards and schedule requirements. May adapt techniques and tools to meet special needs with approval from management.Special Skills, Licenses or Job Requirements:Demonstrate competency in applying the following to perform normal job duties. Able to use safety equipment required by Title 29 CFR 1910, all parts. Possess a valid State of Oklahoma Driver License. Provide basic hand tools and use them properly.Special Training and Behavioral Competencies:The following training requirements and competencies must be met before acceding to this job:* Safety training as required by OSHA.* Respirator training and certification.* Complete the required NORDAM University training for all Stakeholders.* Comply with The NORDAM Group Leadership Competencies for Stakeholders.* Ability and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Stakeholder to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work overtime both in excess of eight (8) hours per day and/or five (5) days per week.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Stakeholder encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The Stakeholder is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and outside weather conditions. The Stakeholder is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.
