Essential Functions

• Operate and set up Trim presses in Forge and reset Forge presses occasionally
• Troubleshoot Trim presses; return old dies and retrieve next job
• Operate various complex Rotary machines and change tooling and make minor tool settings
• Check for and file paperwork for completed jobs or tagging parts
• Make periodic visual and gauged quality checks; complete all quality paperwork and approvals
• Assist set up operators with first piece approval (FPA)
• Participate and complete MOB / MOA training class
• Ability to give operating instructions when needed
• Ability to train, instruct and assist trainees through the training period
• Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to set ups and operations within recognized procedures
• Maintain a high degree of quality and safety
• Record data on DXH boards and TIB board
• Perform safety check list to make sure machine guards are in place
• Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision and assistance
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Basic computer skills
• Blue print reading skills and simple shop math required
• Must be able to stand, sit, reach, bend, twist, reach overhead, walk and carry parts all or part of the shift
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbs. in dealing with tooling, holders, baskets, units and other parts on an average 8-hour shift
• Work in area with high noise level and forklift traffic
• Working with parts that are hot, where gloves are required
• Operate a Jib crane occasionally
• Must be able to step up and down platform heights at work station
• Must be able to push or pull parts with lift truck or pallet jack (up to 55 lb. pull)
• Must work in hot, humid conditions at time
