Responsibilities

* To oversee the day-to-day Logistics operation for all international courier processes
* To monitor courier performance and hold quarterly reviews with them to review KPI data and report back to management on KPI failures along with corrective actions
* To support and drive continuous improvement and efficiency in current working processes in order to support the companywide T.O.M and objectives
* To ensure all commercial contracts (PBH, PS&S & repair management) are fully aligned with the right resourcing, shipments on time in full in line with low cost shipping.
* To identify, recommend and review structured corrective actions for any assigned non-conformances as well as reviewing occurrences to identify trends and lead corrective actions.
* Support and lead the International Courier team.
* To train and develop staff in accordance with the Logistics training schedule for each career level (skills and competencies)
* To ensure any new and existing processes are followed and understood by all stakeholders. Where applicable new or changed processes are aligned and recorded in Q maps.
* To ensure courier exception reports are reviewed and where applicable delays communicated to the business and corrective actions put into place

Person Specification

* Previous experience with International courier processes would be highly advantageous
* Demonstrable experience of working with differing packaging spec types (including ATA, D.G UN spec containers).
* Proven track record of working in supply chain management – inclusive of air, road, sea and international courier
* Proficient in courier exception reports and KPI reports with knowledge or experience of critically reviewing processes with a view to identifying and implementing potential improvements.
* Demonstrates good commercial and operational understanding of commercial contracts developed through experience of working in logistics and / or supply chain management.
* Demonstrates working knowledge of all aspects of export control (USA, U.K & EU).
* Highly motivated with a capability to handle a demanding workload that requires accuracy.
* Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and writing, dealing with a range of audiences inside and outside the organisation.
* Able to develop and maintain relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
* Proven commitment and ability to maintain a positive professional attitude at all times.
* Demonstrate leadership skills including the ability to understand and maximise the motivation of individual team members.
* Previous experience within H.Q Warehousing & Logistics
