Jetstar is currently on an exciting adventure to become a leading online travel retailer across the Asia Pacific region. Core to this strategy is our Digital team and we are looking for exceptionally talented individuals to join us on the journey.
We are currently looking for a highly capable Lead Business Analyst to join our Melbourne based Group Head Office team. Focussing on customer facing, digital based technology, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of a wide range of projects, both within IT as well as across our business operations.
In this newly created role, you will relish in the opportunity not only to manage a team but excel in creating a greenfield range of frameworks, processes and procedures. You’ll be our go to star with the ability to act as a senior analyst across our projects whilst mentoring our thriving team of analysts along the way. Reporting directly to PMO Program Manager, your main accountabilities will be to:
* Lead a team of 5-10 Business Analysts to engage/motivate them, enhance their skills and deliver projects across the business
* Development & governance of standards, methodologies, work practices, systems and tools across the Jetstar Group IT BA
* Mentor & train Business Analysts in BA framework and best practices
* Contribute to Group IT PMO continual improvement initiative
* Effectively work with key business stakeholders, program and project teams to gather requirements & capture business needs
* Ensure detailed business and / or functional requirements are clearly and accurately documented
* Review and validation of high level processes, systems and reporting to ensure full coverage of requirements.
* Develop, review and deliver training / self-service material as required in the support of power / end users
* Promote enhanced networking, integration and collaboration across Team PMO, Group IT & the wider business
* Demonstrate high performance through effective delivery capability as measured via Customer Satisfaction Surveys (CSAT)
* Act as a Senior Analyst for key projects within Group IT PMO as well as driving formal change management processes
To be successful in these roles, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Extensive experience working as a Business Analyst (including line management)
* Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of Business Analysts
* Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
* Experience across system analysis, solution design, key deliverables and traceability, testing, business case development and product validation
* Experience in data and process modelling, system interface analysis, function/technical specs
* Experience in an aviation business is highly regarded
* Very strong stakeholder management skills
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organisation
* Willingness to travel
