General Responsibility

The job card technician/check administrator works closely with the project manager and check scheduler to ensure the administration of a maintenance visit is accurately managed.  The role is supported by the planning team manager and check scheduler. The technician is responsible for managing the work package from the input of the maintenance visit through to the scanning audit and return of the completed work pack to the customer post completion of the maintenance visit.

Essential Job Function

The job card technician/check administrator duties would include, but not limited to:

  • Receive hand-over of check pack from the check pre-planner to gain a good understanding of the work scope contents
  • Transfer incoming snags from the tech log to work pack 
  • Close work pack cards on the ERP system
  • Scan card as they close to digital file
  • File cards closed daily and control work pack tally
  • Record daily customer meeting minutes
  • Record customer requests and generate additional task cards / job cards as necessary
  • Manage & record communication between production and customer during check life-cycle
  • Prepare work package for CRS
  • Post check CRS manage work pack closure and audit
  • Good working ability with Microsoft Excel and Word necessary

Candidate Requirements

·         Non-EU/EAA nationals require current and valid   permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland

·         A minimum of 2 years relevant experience with the   aviation industry is required (Preferably within a Base   Maintenance organisation)

·         Knowledge of the Aviation Regulations (EASA and FAA)   is desirable

·         Completion of a relevant Type or GenFam course is   advantageous (B737, B757 or B767)

·         Proficient in use of MS Office applications

·         Detail oriented with exceptional time management and   multi-tasking ability

·         Excellent coordinating and organisational skills

·         Must be able to perform well under pressure

·         Ability to work independently and meet aggressive   schedules

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills,   including strong interpersonal skills, team-building   skills, and the ability to persuade others without   creating adversarial relationships

·         Works closely with project team members to resolve problems with assigned projects

·         Fluent in English (written and spoken)
