Job Description

General Position Summary

The CI Engineer internship is designed to give students a realistic preview of a
role as a CI Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Industrial Engineer in
Aerospace. This position provides onsite project support to the manufacturing
and engineering teams. The intern must be a flexible and adaptable team-player,
as well as have strong communication skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in development of TPM
documentation

• Develop and implement visual
controls for TPM

• Assist Engineering with Die
Maintenance documentation

• Participate and assist with Lean
projects with 5S and flow

• Provide project updates on a
weekly basis

• Demonstrate commitment to an
Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others

• Other duties as assigned

• Computer knowledge and efficiency,
including Microsoft Office products

• General understanding of industry

• General understanding of Lean, 6
Sigma & TPM

• Strong written and verbal

Education and/or Experience


Actively working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
or equivalent

use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.Frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.Must be able to frequently move and/or lift from 1 – 50 pounds.Working conditions are: 20% office environment, 80%
manufacturing environment.Noise level is moderate in office environment and moderate to loud
on shop floor.Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic
chemicals, extreme cold and extreme heat.Hearing protection must be worn in designated manufacturing areas.Safety glasses (ANSI Z87 compliant) required in all manufacturing
areas.

Safety
Footwear shall be in accordance with the following: ASTM standard F2413-05 with
minimum impact resistance, compression resistance and metatarsal designation
ratings of 75 foot pounds (i.e. ASTM F2413-05 I/75 C/75 Mt/75), which are
viewable on the inside tag of footwear.
