Job Summary

gateretail are looking to recruit an Intercompany Accountant to join and be part of a highly motivated and industry leading team. If you are looking for your next challenge, then we might just have the role you’ve been looking for.

Working with all gateretail worldwide to ensure all costs are correctly allocated or crossed charge to / from the relevant legal and HFM entities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Working with HR and payroll to ensure all gateretail employees are correctly allocated to the right entities and cost centres in all systems that feed the SAP finance system

* Monitoring daily intercompany (IC) Invoice uploads into SAP

* Raising outgoing intercompany invoices (in SAP), reviewing & approving incoming IC (opex) invoices

* Reconciliation of intercompany balances and ensuring that we match P&L and BS with all other group entities. Including using HFM / Smartview / SAP / Basware / AX

* Supporting the Accounts Payable team with coding and resolution of intercompany invoices

* Creating the Intercompany costs and revenue budgets and forecasts

* Understand, communicate and provide training and support in relation to the company’s intercompany invoicing policy and interaction with SAP entries (e.g. COPA impact), including the calculation mechanism of all intercompany invoices

* Reconciling Retail position to Gate Trade for Heinemann invoices

* Working with other entities to ensure incoming and outgoing intercompany invoices are correct

* Working to resolve disputes and prevent intercompany mismatches on actuals and forecasts

* Build relationships with various stakeholders to ensure the best possible processes for intercompany invoicing

* Understanding our SAP / BW profit centre and cost centre setup, and the HFM entity setup in relation to the RCoE and regional P&L split of gateretail

* Understanding transfer pricing and UK Diverted Profit Tax and the impact on intercompany invoicing.

* Making entries in SAP to enter / adjust / correct intercompany invoices and costs

* Ad-hoc tasks and analysis in relation to intercompany transactions

Qualifications:

Education:

* University degree educated, preferably Business Administration or Finance related

* ACCA/CIMA finalist

Work Experience:

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting department including AP and AR roles.

* At least 1 years’ experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.

* Advanced Excel user

Other Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

* Excellent financial and analytical skills including experience creating complex excel spreadsheets

* Knowledge of SAP and HFM preferred

* Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with management and staff.

* Must demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills.

* Ability to prioritise and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
