If you can combine an Aeronautical Apprenticeship or equivalent with solid experience in aircraft maintenance, you could take on a key role in our Global Learning Academy (GLA). As Instructor Technical Engineer based at Heathrow, you’ll be an engineering ambassador for the UK’s largest airline and a role model for best practicehelping to ensure we continue to go way beyond industry requirements. 

  You’ll plan, develop and deliver practical and knowledge-based training packages for British Airways, IAG and our customers. These programmes will cover both technical and behavioural skills, and extend from regulatory information to Part-147/Part-145 standards. You’ll be instrumental in developing the GLA portfolio. Keeping fully abreast of aircraft systems, processes and procedures and legislative requirements, you’ll embrace different training approaches including e-learning and the use of external vendors, and ensure that training interventions can be applied on a global scale.     As well as having served an Aeronautical Apprenticeship or equivalent, you should be educated to HNC/D standard in engineering, hold the EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance licence and ideally have Part-147 training experience. A willingness to gain further qualifications is expected.   You’ll have knowledge of health & safety, the ability to work on multiple projects and strong business awareness. Familiarity with IT applications including EWS and Windows-based presentation/word processing packages is also important.    In return, you can look forward to a competitive salary and Total Reward package on offer.
