Primary Job Duties

SkyWest values operational reliability and a huge part of obtaining that goal is having high quality training. As a Training Devices Technician you will conduct maintenance and repair of InFlight and Flight Operations training devices and equipment. You will also manage and maintain training equipment/devices parts and supplies. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented with general maintenance experience. Training Devices

* Maintains operation of the training equipment/devices
* Repairs the training equipment/devices
* Keeps the training equipment/devices clean and free from hazardous conditions
* Reports when the training equipment/devices are inoperative
* Reports when the training equipment/devices are returned to operation
* Works with the contracted vendors and Maintenance Department on repairs to the training equipment/devices
* Locates the parts and equipment for the training equipment/devices
* Requests the parts and obtains the parts/supplies for the training equipment/devices
* Obtains the materials/supplies from the outside vendors/hardware suppliers
* Maintains the inventory of parts and supplies for the training equipment/devices
* Submits invoices for the payment of repairs to the training equipment/devices
* Maintains the parts, equipment, and supplies ordering information
* Inspects the training equipment/devices on a set schedule
* Records the training equipment/device inspections
* Files the completed inspections
* Maintains the training equipment/device maintenance logbooks
* Orders the training equipment/device maintenance logbooks
* Maintains a record of the training equipment/devices in storage
* Maintain and repair Flight Operations Enhanced Visual Procedures Trainers (EVPT)
* Clean EVPTs on a weekly basis
* Maintain EVPT parts inventory

Other Responsibilities

* Attends company required meetings
* Travel required to attend training, workshops and seminars pertinent to InFlight Training Devices Technician responsibilities and repairs at other SkyWest training facilities

Minimum Requirements

* High school diploma or GED.
* Electrical, audio visual, electronic, plumbing, welding and fabrication experience
* Requires working eight hours a day during normal business hours
* Overtime and/or weekends may be required, as needed
* Requires long periods of standing, bending, pulling, kneeling, squatting, pushing, sitting while working on training devices, and working/reading on a computer
* Adheres to the directions given by the InFlight Managers/Directors/Vice President
* Maintains regular attendance
* Undergoes required random drug/alcohol testing, as required by DOT and Company requirements
* Adheres to department and Company policy

Physical and Other Requirements

* Able to push, pull and lift 50-60 pounds
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* SkyWest Online knowledge
* SkyWest maintenance manual system knowledge
* Experience with office equipment and telephone systems
* Excellent organization and prioritization skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Able to interact with all facets of people in a professional and personable manner
* Ability to maintain confidential information
* Attention to detail in producing quality work
* Ability to adapt to constant change
* Ability to work professionally under stressful situations and within tight time constraints
* Ability to contribute to a positive work environment
* Self-motivated
* Ability to work under minimal supervision
