Job Role:
The Hydro-Mechanical Technician is responsible performing Qualification and Design Verification testing including setup, documentation and data acquisition from a defined test procedure.
Responsibilities:
* Setup and perform testing per Qualification Test Procedures.
* Build hydraulic test stands and simulators following a schematic and install and connect all required instrumentation. Setup data acquisition system to record required data.
* Ensure that tests are properly documented, data is properly acquired, reduced and labeled and assist with test reports.
* Ensure all lab test equipment is calibrated and properly maintained.
* Travel to outside labs and work offsite as required.
* Assist in developing and maintaining clean, safe and efficient work environment following 5-S standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
* Two (2) + years of experience as a technician in hardware test engineering, preferably in an aerospace related product field.
Knowledge :
* Instrumentation techniques for test systems (temperature, flow and pressure sensors) .
* A basic understanding of electronics and hydraulics.
* Knowledge of how to bend and flare hydraulic tubing, utilize basic shop tools and test instrumentation.
Skills & Abilities:
* Proficient in office tools such as Word and Excel.
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Demonstrated problem solving and time management aptitude
* Work independently with little supervision.
* Read assembly drawings and hydraulic schematics.
* Troubleshoot test failures and assist in Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Investigations.
* Travel to outside labs and work offsite as required.
Education :
* Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent knowledge through experience, industry trade school or other recognized educational institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Vibration control system programming and vibration fixture design.
* Ability to create solid models of simple fixtures utilizing SolidWorks
* Ability to assist in Test Procedure and Report creation.
Eligibility Requirements:
* Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and not require Visa sponsorship to be eligible. Because we contract with the US Department of Defense we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Work Environment :
* Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heal straps, and shop coats.
