Health and Safety and Facilities Coordinator

Opportunity to work for this global aviation company, playing a pivotal role in ensuring Health and Safety. Based at their busy primary European business jet maintenance centre in Bournemouth, you will assist the HSE manager in ensuring safe systems of work are implemented, conducting risk assessments and mitigating risk.

This key role requires an ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personnel, external contractors and organisations to monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislations. Activities include :

• Conducting audits, identifying hazards and inspecting UK premises and their activities.

• Investigation of incidents and accidents.

• Supporting health and safety representatives.

• Assisting the HSE manager with the training programme, including inductions for new starters and contractors.

• Liaise with managers regarding HSE management, scope for improvements and practical application of HSE policy.

• Maintain compliance, ensuring general maintenance of equipment, repairs and routine checks are conducted in a timely manner, particularly ensuring that vital systems are serviceable.

• Maintain records, produce a variety of communications to disseminate policies and procedures.

• Ordering and allocation of ppe and other equipment, recording of facility requests and planning of tasks, being mindful of costs and schedules.

• Maintain and coordinate the emergency response plans for fire, first aid and environmental control.
