Cardiff Aviation (CAL) are an independent MRO based in South Wales.

CAL have the following approvals, all 737 series, A320 family, 757 and 767 series aircraft at our modern facility at St. Athan in South Wales.

The new management team invite recruits from across the Part 145 operations; from production staff; Engineers, Technicians and Mechanics, to Planners and Store Keepers.

 

 

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, The head of Commercial sales and Business development is responsible for developing a sales strategy and overseeing the sales pipeline. Responsibility also includes generating sales revenue within company guidelines from all core business products including Spares Sales, Composite repairs, Boroscope inspection, Line and Base Maintenance. 

 

Working closely with the Senior Management Team, Customer Services and Finance Team, Head of Commercial is required to ensure that their commercial teams are working to agreed sales plans ensuring that proposals are reviewed and submitted in a timely manner and all contracts are negotiated to the required standards expected. They ensure that new and existing customers have the best possible experience whilst their aircraft are in the facility and ensuring that all charges relating the services are administered in accordance with the agreed contracts and within the correct timescales.

Responsibilities also include:

 

• Responsible for the Business Development Team

• Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.

• Develop and maintain sales budget (sold, unsold and pipeline)

• Develop and maintain strategic customer sales visit plan 

• Map potential customers and generate new opportunities.

• Develop and update a Commercial Sales database/CRM System (Salesforce)

• Research Market and keep up to date with Market intelligence

• GTA contract review/negotiations with Customer and legal team 

• Assist the Commercial Team with the preparation of bids and tenders for new clients to ensure RFP deadlines are met

• Ensure that all formal proposals are raised to the highest standards iaw customer RFP’s

• Produce monthly visit plans

• Negotiate and close off sales contracts ensuring the best possible margin for CAL

• Ensure internal sign off governance is maintained and bid templates are completed in accordance with company requirements

• Combine technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice to potential customers and generate sales for CAL to meet agreed targets.

• Manage and interpret customer requirements applying technical knowledge. 

• Negotiate tenders and close sales by agreeing contract terms and conditions.

• Develop and maintain tracking data and sales forecasts.

 • Deliver technical presentations to demonstrate CAL services.

• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences and forums.

• Implement and maintain daily strategy meeting

• Implement and maintain weekly sales meetings
