This announcement is for a Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic for
Ravn Air Group. This position reports to the GSE Supervisor and GSE
Manager and is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all Ravn Air
Group ground support equipment and vehicles. This position will be
required to work with a high level of accuracy and efficiency; intermediate
to advanced mechanical skills are required to perform this job at an
acceptable standard. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to
remote locations on a regular basis and ideally comes from a background
in aviation.

This is a non-exempt, full time, benefits-eligible position. Position works an
irregular schedule and, though based in Anchorage, travel will be required
to perform work in other locations.
Minimum Qualifications
 High School Diploma/GED required;  Continuing certification classes with emphasis in equipment repair/mechanics

strongly preferred;  An ASE Certification is desirable;  Minimum 3+ years in equipment repair or a previous GSE Mechanic position;  Must have strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability;  Valid Alaska Driver’s License with a good driving record is required;  Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks;  Basic computer skills are required, with computerized maintenance management

system (CMMS) experience highly preferred;  Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis;  Must be able to travel extensively without restriction throughout Alaska, working

in variant climates and environments;

 Requires a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety
Management Systems (SMS);  Able to pass a comprehensive background check;  Comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically

associated with operating aircraft. Duties & Responsibilities  Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all Ravn Air Group GSE and vehicles

to include tugs, belt loaders, generators, heaters, deicers, cars, trucks, vans,

forklifts and various types of heavy equipment;  Assist with general shop duties as assigned and qualified to perform;  Comply with applicable safety and environmental standards;  Document all labor time/expenses;  Travel to other airports on a regular basis for field repairs and maintenance;  Maintain communication with GSE Manager and GSE Supervisor regarding

progress and/or problems related to work associated tasks;  Pursue training when possible in order to continuously improve job knowledge;  Seek out opportunities for further certifications (i.e. ASE Technician);  Assist with parts research, price comparisons, timely procurement and inventory

levels;  Promote the Company safety culture;  Other duties as assigned and within the scope of this position.
