Volga-Dnepr Gulf is looking for Flight Operations Officer for our Sharjah Operational Base, who will be responsible for the appropriate and timely performance of duties specified below:

  1. Make orders for services and enter relevant information in OPS Database. Communicate to Operations Control Center (OCC), Fuel Procurement and Ground Handling any limitations or restrictions that may exist.
  2. Request and receive country permits and enter information in OPS Database. Communicate any limitations or restrictions to Fight Ops Control.
  3. Request airport slots, PPRs, and enter information in OPS Database. Communicate any limitations or Restrictions to Fight Ops Control.
  4. Conduct customs pre-flight procedures for countries in MEA region (UAE, Saudi Arabia).
  5. Supervise operational control support for all operations contracted by Sales Offices in the region (irrespective of the operation’s routing).
  6. Resolve any coordination issues with other Operating Bases that may arise.
  7. Conduct field audits of suppliers.
  8. Negotiate with flight servicing providers in the region, including ground handling and fuel companies.
  9. Suggest potential service providers in the region, including those selected as a result of negotiations with providers.
  10. Suggest providers and suppliers on the route of a particular flight/series of flights to ensure that quality of charter air cargo service is as specified in the contract made with customer, and that a higher level of the service efficiency is achieved.
  11. Elaborate corrective actions with relation to service provider management.
  12. Conduct factor analysis of all delays in the region, and make proposals on how on-time performance target values can be achieved for individual flights and trips.
  13. Keep a database of special considerations concerning particular countries and airports in the regions.
  14. Participate in negotiations with customers.
  15. Arrange discussions and meetings with the region’s aviation community.
  16. Participate in regional exhibitions, forums and other aviation industry activities.
  17.  Participate in reviews of Operating Base’s activities.
  18. Participate in daily briefings conducted among Operating Bases to coordinate objectives and exchange operational information.
  19. Сalculation of an economical flight route for an aircraft with a given carrying capacity and published restrictions.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience as flight dispatcher on international airlines

Experience in the aviation industry is desirable (the airports, handling service, interaction with the aviation authorities)

Language skills: Excellent English; Arabic and Russian are desirable

Must be willing to relocate to Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
