Moog Aircraft Group is looking for a Facilities Manager with overall responsibility for leading our facilities, maintenance, security, environmental, safety and food services at our Torrance Aircraft Group campus totaling over 280,000 square feet with over 640+ employees. The facilities include a machine shop, heat treat, plating, waste treatment and assembly & test with a large engineering population of over 200.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Implementing standards and policies for environmental, remediation, security, safety, and other ancillary functions pertaining to site development and management.

* Providing technical and administrative direction for all activities associated with the task of providing ongoing facility services and machine maintenance services to the Torrance Aircraft Operations Facility.

* Managing a team of 30+ employees, with 2 working supervisors, congruent with the Moog values and culture.

* Forecasting and executing on short and long range capital and expense budgets totaling over $12M.

* Managing major projects from conception through completion for new construction, utility installations and modifications. This entails the complete project management of all project phases including determination of user requirements, project organization, planning and budgeting, risk assessment, direction of in‑house/ outside engineers and architects, community interface, regulatory agency approvals, permits, cost and schedule control, contractor selection, and construction supervision.

* Outstanding Communicator­ - Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization; comfortable and well versed in all forms of communication.

* Multitasking Specialist – you will be responsible for multiple projects with multiple day-to-day issues.

* Excellent Problem-Solver – We need you to instinctively know good solutions and work-arounds and be able to implement them on the fly.

* Computer Proficiency – Excel, Power Point and Word. Microsoft Project and CAD background are highly desirable.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

* Minimum 7 years of Facilities / Maintenance experience

* Minimum 4 years of Managerial/Supervisory experience

* Experience managing the Facilities Operations in a Manufacturing plant environment

* Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)

Preferred Qualifications Include:

* Prefer that the Bachelor’s Degree is in Management, Business or Engineering

* 10+ years of Facilities experience preferred

* 5+years of Managerial/Supervisory experience preferred

* Facilities / Maintenance experience in a Machine Shop environment strongly preferred

* Experience with Microsoft Office and CAD programs
