Job Description
***THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN SOMALIA***
MAG Aerospace is seeking a UAS External Pilot (EP). The UAS External Pilot will be responsible for safe aircraft operation which includes but is not limited to maintaining safe and positive control of the air vehicle during take-off, landing, and traffic patter maneuvering.
The External UAS Pilot will also be responsible for preflight and post flight briefing of take-off and landing parameters and considerations; preflight and post flight inspections of all EP equipment. Minimal guidance and direction is expected.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Take appropriate actions during emergencies
*
Notify crewmembers of any planned abrupt vehicle maneuvers
*
Notify changes in switch positions or vehicle configuration
*
Compute take-off/landing data and completing appropriate presets and checklists
*
Announce parameters during take-off and controllability checks
*
Assist Technicians and Internal Pilots (IP) during emergency landing situations
*
Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a small team environment is essential
*
Assist Technicians and IPs when required
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience (MUST have to be considered for this position)
*
250 hours EP time on Group/Tier III UAS with manually controlled and runway take-off and landing
*
Ability to deploy OCONUS
*
Ability to obtain and maintain a US SECRET security clearance
*
Valid U.S Passport
Preferred but NOT Required Education and Experience: (NOT necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for this position)
*
Previous or current Aerostar UAV EP qualification
*
Experience flying from austere small runway conditions
*
Very recent experience operating as a full time EP on Group/Tier III UAS with manually controlled runway take-off and landing such as the Hunter, Tiger Shark, or similar systems
*
500+ total EP flight hours
