The Hardware (Electrical) Engineer will be involved with full life-cycle product development with a focus on digital, firmware, and system design. Primary tasking will include: Focus on Firmware design, Product requirements, Box level integration, System integration, System test, and Detail design process. Support tasking will include: Creation and maintenance of wiring diagrams and cable assemblies, Liaison support to onsite and remote manufacturing, Product installation, Schematic capture, and Circuit board design. Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others. Other engineering duties as assigned.

· Representing the Product Development organization as a prime technical contact on contracts and projects.

· Interacting with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

· Leading an engineering team and mentoring less experienced engineers

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· With BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, must have at least seven (9) years of relevant experience.

· With MS in Electrical Engineering or related field, must have at least seven (7) years of relevant experience.

· Relevant experience includes: FPGA design experience, VHDL or Verilog proficiency, HDL simulation tools, Tcl scripting familiarity, Strong circuit and system troubleshooting mentality, Software or firmware design principles, Analog and digital hardware design experience, Operate spectrum analyzers and oscilloscope.

· Preferred Experience includes: Xilinx Vivado experience, Embedded software integration experience, Source code repository (Git, Subversion, etc.), Source code peer review processes, Bug tracking tool suites, Automated build environments, Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, AutoCAD

· Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership and communication skills.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

· Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required.
