Narda MITEQ is located in Hauppage, New York. It has the benefit of a close proximity to New York City as well as the summer beaches of Long Island.
Narda MITEQ employs 600 highly technical individuals in the United States, Europe and Central America.
Position: Electronics Technician/ SATCOM
Location: Hauppauge, NY
Responsible for testing and trouble shooting microwave components, sub-assemblies and final products. Ability to work from verbal and written instructions and read wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and schematics.
Perform Continuous Process Improvement projects.
Use good judgment and decision-making skills.
Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times.
Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering to determine root cause of failures and identify potential rework or repair opportunities.
Maintain high ethical standards.
Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Must have 2+years experience testing and troubleshooting electronics AND microwave components
Very good communication skills - verbal and written
Technical School training and certification is ideal
Associates Degree or higher preferred
Experience working in a clean room environment is a plus.
The employee will receive on the job training as needed, but must be comfortable and experienced to work independently
