Role Summary:
This program is a three-year curriculum consisting of rotational assignments, classroom training, and preparing you to obtain your electrical license. Program students are required to attend classes up to 3 nights a week throughout the 3 year program. All tuition will be paid for by GE. Program graduates will earn a certificate of completion and college credits that can be applied towards an Associate Degree.

Essential Responsibilities:
The apprentice program consists of learning to perform electronic & electrical repairs and installations for a wide variety of applications within the Rutland operation. Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electronic equipment such as CNC controls, tool positioning systems, PLCs and measuring quality control equipment & electrical distribution equipment. Use of electronic test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, recorders, component testers and simulators.

Qualifications/Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years old by July 1, 2019. Two years of higher-level math (i.e. algebra and geometry) with a grade of B or better. One year of higher-level science with a grade of B or better. A letter outlining why you want to participate in the program. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
