Electrical Operator

Job Description:

To support the manufacture of Electrical assemblies to engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all processes associated with the manufacturing of sub-assemblies, cable harnesses, panels and cabinets
  • Cutting and identing of wires for sub-assemblies and cable harnesses to engineering documentation.
  • Training of new and inexperienced operators.
  • Test cable assemblies and sub-assemblies and implement fault finding techniques.
  • Taping and braiding of cable assemblies.
  • Tool control.
  • You are responsible for taking reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work and to co-operate with managers, supervisors and others to enable the company to meet its statutory obligations for health, safety and environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Up to NVQ Level 3 and a City and Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience of all aspects of company documentation, with basic practical experience of aerospace electrical assembly.
  • Methodical and dexterous - ability to accurately produce idents and cut cable.
  • Computer literate (SAP, COS, L2K, Tyco Win Total print system)
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings.
