Ecommerce Software Development Manager

Lead an innovative development team that drives the airline ecommerce and mobile platforms. This is a technical leadership role requiring technical depth, business acumen, and strong communication skills. Ideal candidate will have high volume ecommerce and
mobile development background, .Net programming skills, solid Object Oriented Design, and strong understanding of established/emerging web & mobile technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and build the development team that will drive the ecommerce and mobile platforms forward. This role will be a step into a Management focused role, focusing on championing of processes and innovation as well as improving
the ecommerce platforms across all aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, mentor, and nurture a high performing .NET development team to deliver projects on time and on budget.

* Collaborating with business owners and stakeholders to lead ecommerce requirements gathering and generate specifications/functional design.

* Creating project plans detailing project schedule, resource/budget estimates, quality requirements and metrics.

* Drive project execution and delivery according to business needs and requirements.

* Review the ecommerce platform and architecture to recommend effective options for implementing business functionality.

* Actively participate in the analysis, design, development, testing of changes, and additions to all systems.

* Define and lead execution of service based application architecture in line with current and future applications.

Required skills/experience:

* Minimum of at least 6 years of experience in either designing or developing Web Services, C#.NET, Mobile Development platforms for iOS & Android, T-SQL and/or object oriented architecture.

* Experience with application and data architectures.
* Demonstrable skills in creating and debugging SQL and .NET applications.
* Excellent knowledge of C#.NET, Swift, Java, PL/SQL.
* Demonstrable skills utilizing SQL Server.
* Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
* Comfortable in an Agile Development Environment.
* Ability to define and follow application standards.
* Experience working in an agile environment and leading Scrums.
* Proven experience in building, developing and leading high performing teams.
* Have a passion for technology and be an excellent communicator.
* Work with Development Teams (Software and BI Teams) to develop and execute migration of software (applications) infrastructure to Spirit’s platforms.

* Knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods.

* Solid understanding of the technical aspects of online applications, web development, ecommerce, mobile development frameworks and tool sets.

* High volume ecommerce background preferred.
* Airline Industry knowledge a plus.
* Understanding of wide variety of technologies and platforms preferred.
