Position Summary:

We are seeking a Demand Manager to be a vital link between our Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations functions to develop short and long-term sales forecasts. These teams will be key in supporting and ensuring the successful completion of forecasting and planning deliverables.
The primary function of the Demand Manager is the forecasting of future sales and management of the sales, inventory and operations planning process. They will need to perform necessary analyses to provide valuable information, regarding the accuracy of and opportunities in the forecast. The Demand Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the various business functions, aggregating any information relevant to the forecast.
The Demand Manager will be critical in evaluating, recommending, and implementing new solutions by evaluating current tools and processes. These evaluations would then be integrated into recommendations for tools, processes and skillsets required to meet the business needs.
Responsible for implementing and managing company programs and policies in a specialized and/or centralized staff function such as administering division sales, inventory, operations and planning process. Serves as a subject matter expert and consultant to management on company programs of significant scope and responsibility.
May provide leadership and coordination for cross-functional teams and/or initiatives.

Essential Functions:
1. Applies advanced, specialized knowledge in area of unique expertise to develop and manage company programs and perform complex assignments and analyses.

2. Designs, develops, and implements systems and procedures to meet future business needs or regulatory requirements and coordinates implementation efforts within and across teams.

3. Evaluates and recommends actions to division/group leadership team regarding policies and procedures by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. Researches and interprets complex policies and regulations. Analyzes proposed changes in methods and policies, and implementation costs/risks and impact.

4. Ensures program guidelines comply with company policy, legal requirements, and applicable government regulations.

5. Establishes program reporting systems. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

6. Establishes goals, objectives, and implementation plans required to complete projects. Assesses project/program issues and develops solutions to meet goals and objectives.

7. Shares specialized knowledge with others; may provide formal training and communication in focused area of expertise. Work assignments include cross-functional or project team responsibilities requiring general understanding of program impact to operational and administrative functions.

8. Represents company on specific projects. Coordinates with industry peers and government agencies. May serve as an external spokesperson on matters regarding company policies, audits, plans, and objectives.

9. Trains and mentors less experienced employees. May provide leadership to others in department or to ad-hoc teams.

10. Complies with federal and state legal requirements and professional standards. Studies existing and new legislation, enforces adherence to requirements, and advises management on needed actions.

11. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and active participation in professional societies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Business Administration, technical or related field, and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through ten (10) or more years of increasingly responsible related experience including two or more years managing programs or projects. Advanced degree and related specialty certification desired.
A minimum of 4 years of working knowledge of analysis and reporting tools to lead the demand management or forecasting responsibilities (ie S&OP processes)
Ability to lead problem solving activities, develop resolutions and implement corrective actions
Creative, responsive and adaptive in a dynamic environment, adaptive and demonstrate the desire to learn new competencies and skills
Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions
Strong communication skills, interpersonal, written and verbal
Ability to work in a team environment
Experience with Logility or similar software preferred
