We have a rare opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated Customer Support Engineer to join our Aerosystems team. In this role you will provide on-site interface support for a customer located in Amarillo, TX and will be responsible for performing a variety of technical and administrative duties in the coordination of activities related to meeting production schedules and goals. Additionally, you will assist in all phases of the program development to ensure an adequate understanding of technical, quality, and business requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Engineer, your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Monitor manufacturing nonconformance’s and provide support to Customer with containment and stock screening to prevent additional rejections.
* Review potential nonconformance’s with customer and provide business visibility of real-time customer concerns or issues.
* Help develop long-term customer relationship. Act as the key onsite customer service representative
* Communicate with internal Kaman teams and customer representatives on a frequent basis to establish and maintain superior project communications.
* Promote and coordinate good customer relationships to include world class execution of existing business engagements to help leverage new business opportunities.
* Participate in Customer meetings to provide real-time corrective actions and counter measures.
* Coordinate with various internal groups and work from established program plans to develop, maintain, and monitor schedules.
* Perform diversified analytical duties related to the identification and resolution of production management problems associated with assigned projects to meet program schedules.
* Provide technical direction, when appropriate, to operations/support personnel in the performance of scheduling/expediting duties.
* Collect and disseminate customer, competitor, and market intelligence.
* Other duties as assigned by respective members of Kaman Jacksonville Management Team

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree with ten plus years of experience in project management, business development, and/or operations preferably in the aerospace industry. Technical degree preferred.
* Must have experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint) as well as good computer skills. Experience using customer Internet portals preferred.
* Experience with manufacturing MRP systems (WDS preferred).
* Must be willing to make frequent trips to the DFW, TX area and to Jacksonville, FL
* Position is based at Bell Helicopter, Amarillo, TX.
* Must have five plus years interfacing with customers.
* Working knowledge of aerospace sheet metal and machined products, as well as structures.
