Customer Services Agent - Glasgow Airport.

The Role:
IAG Cargo, are searching for a customer service agent to join their busy team based in Glasgow Airport. The role would suit someone with a Freight-Forwarding or travel agency background and great customer service skills. Reactive order taking, pricing & management of quotes are the main functions of the role as well as targeted telesales.

Requirements: 

• Capable of operating IT systems provided with accuracy • Capable of accurate data entry • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with both internal and external customers • Excellent verbal and written skills • Understands the impact of service delivery to the commercial organisation • Work under pressure and act with a sense of urgency


Responsibilities to include:​

• Provide a full reservations and fast service for all customers for all products in the region, i.e. a one stop shop. • Dealing with all telephone and email sales enquiries from the customer.  • Dealing with all telephone and email servicing queries from the customer. • Ensure every opportunity is exploited to maximum effect by providing the customer with excellence in sales and service. • Provides full customer support via various communication channels, updating on any amendments to the carriage of the customers freight. • Identifies customer needs and provides solutions and alternatives which best support the customer and the business. • Accurately updates all relevant systems and databases will all pertinent information. • Makes empowered decisions which take into consideration the balance between the customer and business needs whilst utilising support from other when required. • Awareness of Dangerous Goods • Responsible for ensuring that data protection sensitivity is maintained at all times. • Ability to work autonomously. • Maximise business opportunities through telephone sales
