Description
Based in La Pocatière, Quebec, you will report directly to the Supervisor Crew Management and be responsible for ensuring that trains crews are properly dispatched in a timely fashion and in compliance with, mandatory rest, hours of service rules and as per collective agreements. You will also be responsible for the administration of crew management activities such as record keeping, printing and updating job bulletins and maintaining records of the crew calling functions.
In your role you will:
- Ensure that the train crews are called properly and in a timely fashion to be in place at locations required for an on time departure in accordance with good Customer Service;
- Ensure that the spare-board is properly manned in order to respond to extra trains, book off’s and vacation;
- Ensure that all employees reporting in are in compliance with Mandatory rest rule, hours of service, compliant to regulations and cost efficient;
- Ensure that the crew management system is maintained up to date and that employees are advised in sufficient time of the upcoming re-qualification dates of medicals and rules (CROR) before they are due for re-examination.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate:
- You hold a High School Degree or equivalent;
- You have two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a similar role;
- You possess knowledge of railway or transportation (considered as an asset);
- You have excellent English and French communication skills, both written and spoken.
