We are currently adding a Cost Engineer whose focus will be to support and coordinate the efforts of the cost estimating team and gather and correlate their inputs in the preparation of new business proposals. We view this role as a key contributor to the business capture and planning phase of business development A day in the life as a Cost Engineer with Moog: · You’ll work within time constraints on various proposals in different stages, moving each to completion in a timely manner and within guidelines. · You’ll request, assemble and analyze historical cost data for business proposals. · You’ll translate information into proposal cost data and arrive at pricing decisions based on reasonability and strategy. · You’ll work across functions and departments including Supply Chain, Sales and Contracts interfacing as need be to complete your tasks · You’ll create detailed analysis of major Program Events as well as key intermediate milestones · You’ll coordinate with Suppliers to collect and deliver current progress information associated with contractor agreements · You’ll provide status updates to the Integrated Master Schedule Abilities required to achieve success in this role: · Prioritization. Sharing results of these efforts clearly and objectively to the members of the pricing committee. Asking for additional detail when needed. · Interpersonal skills. Getting along with a diverse group of technical individuals. Empathy for everyone’s roles. Understanding and supporting a team goal. · Collaboration. Working with others to achieve your deliverables and support proposal efforts. Minimum requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree · 3-5 years in an project oriented support role with customer interface and heavy software focus (MS Suite, including Excel) · Ability and desire to work with data, analyzing and reporting findings · Experience with scheduling, costing and resource coordination EOE/AA Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disability/Veteran
