Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

The Compensation & Benefits Analyst assists the Director of Corporate Compensation and Benefits in the maintenance and evaluation of employee compensation and benefit programs, including participating in the design of plans, salary and incentive, job evaluation, performance, and health and welfare benefits.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Reviews job descriptions by validating essential duties, education, and experience requirements and determining FLSA classification.
2. Assists with preparing merit and incentive plans for annual operating budget; monitors, reports and adjusts accordingly.
3. Reviews variable pay calculations and compares against compensation policies.
4. Reviews HAECO benefit programs by benchmarking best practices; researching industry and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact.
5. Coordinates participation in surveys to include the identification, analysis, and usage of appropriate compensation and benefit surveys.
6. Participates as a team member and individual contributor in strategic projects and initiatives involving compensation and benefits.
7. Provides financial analysis of total compensation including rolling up, analyzing, testing the integrity of programs and preparing required financial exhibits as needed.
8. Ensure compensation and benefits standards comply with company policies and/or other regulations or legislation.
9. Assists with the preparation of government filings, payment processing, plan audits or other tax reporting requirements.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

1. Annual benefits enrollment design input, implementation and support.
2. Conduct benefits orientation during Annual Enrollment and for Corporate Onboarding.
3. Serve as a SME and HR Generalist knowledge base for HR Professionals and other employees throughout the Organization
4. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting or Analytical Sciences; equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be substituted.
2.
3. Two (2) years progressive HR experience culminating in Human Resources, Benefits or Compensation administration.
4. Strong analytical and interpersonal
5. Excellent computer skills to include Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to constructively interact with employees, managers and executive leadership; both in-person and remotely.
7. Excellent time-management skills, balancing weekly / monthly required duties with ad hoc assignments.
8. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; appropriately gather and analyze information and apply creative talents to problem-solving.
9. Must possess technical knowledge of competitive compensation practices and State and Federal legal requirements.
10. Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment and manage competing demands in a productive manner.

Preferred:

1. PHR, CCP, CBP OR CEBS
2. Familiarity with accounting principles.
3. Experience in corporate home office environment or business ownership experience
