SUMMARY
The Cargo Supervisor primary function is to oversee as well as execute all duties related to daily effective performance of Cargo operations and assigned duties.
General Duties
• Supervise and facilitate performance of Line Service personnel on their assigned shift.
• Ensure all shift operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high levels of safety and customer service.
• Function as a Cargo Handler.
• Application of the principles of the “Atlantic Attitude” at all times.
• Communication of work progress and significant issues with the Operations Manager and/or General Manager.
• Communication of Atlantic standards, and relevant material, to Line Service employees on their shift.
• Strong working knowledge of cargo operations, customer service principles and the Atlantic Aviation service philosophy.
• Comply with all airport authority rules and regulations including AOA operations and airport security requirements.
• Maintain high level of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Maintain site practices and procedures that contribute to a safe, profitable, positive, and enjoyable work environment.
• Train, coach, evaluate, and develop new hire employees in accordance with established procedures.
• Match personnel talent to company need to ensure maximum employee engagement and company benefit.
• Organize periodic shift meetings and facilitate communication between shift personnel and management.
• Help organize and execute employee development, and performance improvement plans.
• Enforce company policy and procedures. Administer disciplinary action as directed by the Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Receives data on incoming flights such as scheduled or estimated times of arrival or departure, destinations and downline station stops, and air cargo and passenger manifests in order to plan work activities.
• Prepares the loading of planes for each departing flight and ensures workers and equipment are available for air cargo and baggage loading, unloading, and handling activities and for ramp service activities.
• Marshal and greet aircraft in a professional manner.
• Assist all aircraft crews and passengers by providing various services they may desire and shall aid in planning and deplaning, baggage and cargo.
• Maintain, clean and organize ramp, hangars and facilities keeping all free of debris and clutter.
• Transport personnel to and from the airport as directed and perform such errands as may be necessary.
• Operate vehicular and ground radio equipment.
• Operate fuel trucks, tugs, baggage handling and various other pieces of equipment as needed.
• Perform periodic checks of all equipment and facilities and document findings.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

* High school graduation.
* 2 years experience in cargo handling operations and FBO operations.
* Minimum of 18 years of age.
* Good communication skills, both written and oral.
* Consistently demonstrated good organizational and leadership skills.
* Must maintain a valid state driver’s license and meet the company’s insurability requirements.
* Ability to comprehend and perform basic math calculations with minimal errors.
* Customer relations skills required.
* Flexible work schedule may include working overtime, nights, on weekends, holidays, and be on call.
