ABOUT THIS POSITION

Candidate must be a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) II or III.

Candidate must be Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) level 1 or above. Level 3 preferred.

Candidate can be located in Norfolk, VA or Charleston, SC.

Primary responsibility:

Assessment and Authorization of cyber programs/systems/tools. Ensures the overall technical execution of the A&A workflow is up to customer standards/SLAs. Scanning using DOD approved scanning tools. Will be a part of a team developing recommended courses of action needed to transition current policies and procedures to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) approved processes.

Advise and assist associated organization POCs in their efforts to prepare and submit ATO and ATC packages to their respective approval authorities.

Identify network devices and equipment that are vulnerable to minimize the potential for unauthorized intrusions and malicious software.

Risk Assessment:

Communicates the security posture of systems up the chain of command via CSTAR and eMASS so that accreditation decisions can be made based on a thorough understanding of the risks associated with the particular configuration of systems and networks. Identifies strategies for improving the A&A processes and procedures to meet increasingly tight timelines and budgets. Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.

Provide solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of expertise and creativity. Problems are broadly defined and solutions require the continuation of specialized theories and knowledge.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related discipline plus 8 years of experience. In lieu of formal education, at least 10 years of related experience. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with DIACAP and RMF

Experience with Accreditation package management in eMASS a plus

Excellent customer service and organization skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills
