CNC (Heidenhain) Machinist (programming)
Morson are recruiting on behalf of a market leading Aerospace engineering company based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The position is for an experience CNC Programmer, initially for the duration of 6 months but likely to be extended. Rates negotiable.
CNC JOB SUMMARY: General machine shop activities to include:-
CNC programming of Heidenhain 3 axis Milling machines
Operation of Band/Bar saws, Pillar drills and Guillotine, etc.
Setting and operating of CNC milling machines
Manufacture of close tolerance parts
Interpreting engineering drawings is essential
Machine to drawing requirements under own supervision
PERSON SPECIFIC
JOB/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Able to read /manufacture to engineering drawings
Capable of achieving consistent results to very tight tolerance
Familiar with COSHH and Health & safety requirements
Flexible: - Prepared to work extended hours and shift at minimum notice.
Experience Required
Proven experience and capability of working in Aerospace or similar high spec environment using aerospace approved methods to very tight tolerances
Fully conversant with Health & Safety, COSHH and IOSHH.
Familiar with Environmental controls and guidelines

ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS:
Minimum requirement is ability to perform tasks as detailed under key responsibilities
Programming / Setting and Operation of CNC Mills using Heidenhain controller
DESIRABLE REQUIRMENTS:
Able to program/set and operate CNC Lathe
Able to conventionally machine using Mill and Lathe.
Able to operate Catia
