CNC Machinist FANUC- Lates Fareham, Hants 6 Months Contract

Our client is a leading specialist within the Filtration industry and supply to a number of different sectors including Aerospace, Energy and Metals and they are actively seeking a number of CNC Turners to join an exciting new project.

The position of the CNC Turner is to set, program and operate various CNC Lathes to produce large or small batch components. All components should be manufactured to the required standards and to full drawing specifications within the set time period.

Duties
Working to MFX/Customer drawings IAW BS 308 and travellers, must also be able to work with prototype drawings and verbal instruction.
Knowledge of manufacturing various ranges of materials from Plastics, Aluminium to Stainless steel through to the more exotics such as Titanium and Inconel.
Knowledge of cutting/forming tools and how they need to be applied and react in certain conditions.
Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and modifications, also a good understanding of repairing tooling.
Must monitor the tooling at all times as to prevent excess burrs from developing.
Complying with and working within the current Health & Safety guidelines. Always leaving a safe working environment for colleagues and operating/leaving machines in a safe manner.
Cleaning and returning items of tooling or equipment back to their specific place as to maintain the companies 5S activities which also include the cleanliness of the machine.

Candidates must have experience with using CNC Lathes, Manual Lathes, 2 Axis,
Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent, further education qualifications such as ONC or C&G.
Good knowledge of FANUC control.

Late shift is 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday
