Patriot Aviation Engineering is a growing business based at Coventry Airport and part of the Aviation section within Rigby Group Plc. We aim to provide quick and efficient base maintenance service to our customers in the UK and worldwide. Our specialist and dedicated team carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and warranty repairs and we are proud to be a Gold Level service centre for Diamond aircraft.

Due to increasing workload we are looking for a Chief Engineer with EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence B1.2 with full group 3 piston engine aeroplanes.

Managing a small team of 10 engineers and aircraft mechanics, the ideal candidate will be driven, flexible and happy to work in a fast-moving environment, with a varied and interesting workload. You will be professional and proactive in your approach to managing people and processes, along with having high individual standards. You will also need to be comfortable working with new and exciting technologies such as new generation composite aircraft.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the post holder will perform a wide range of aircraft maintenance tasks on a diverse fleet but will specialise in the Diamond DA40 & 42 series Aircraft, along with their line management duties.

We would ideally like someone with 5 years or more as the holder of a part 66 licence. Type ratings that would be advantageous are DA40, DA42 Series, Piper single and multi-engine series and Cessna single and multi-engine series.

A Full UK driving licence is required as travel will form part of this role.
