OVERVIEW:

Praxair, Inc. is seeking dynamic Chemical Engineers. As part of the Engineering team, you may work in any of the following areas:

process engineering, plant selection & proposals, CO2, project execution, commissioning, and operation support of cryogenic processes such as air separation, hydrogen and helium separation, liquefaction, and similar. Duties may include heat exchanger design, control valve & flow element sizing, technical risk analysis, safety assessment & documentation, plant troubleshooting, engineering calculations, and investigations.

Our Engineers regularly collaborate with equipment suppliers, individual technical experts, engineering contractors, construction contractors, plant maintenance and plant operating personnel, and other project team members.

SCOPE:

* Prepares reports, graphs, planning layouts, cost estimates and summaries to communicate project progress or results

* Learns and follows established work processes

* Applies engineering fundamentals to daily tasks

* Interfaces with internal and external customers/suppliers

* Quickly learn and apply new concepts, skills and knowledge to assigned tasks

* Investigate problems and requirements of projects, and implement appropriate solutions

* Ensures important, relevant information is communicated regularly and consistently

* Actively participates in project team meetings and decisions

* Updates standards and guidelines

* Sets goals and objectives to meet project deadlines

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering

* Master’s Degree a plus

* Previous Internship in Engineering is required

* Exceptional technical skills and the ability to apply those skills in an industrial environment

* Highly creative with initiative and drive

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Proven track record of personal accountability and success throughout their academic and professional career

* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international)
