2Excel Aviation Ltd is seeking an experienced Charter Planner to join our existing Operations Team based at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. 2Excel Aviation Ltd is an industry leader in specialised and innovative solutions for aviation’s most complex challenges. The role of the Charter Planner will be pivotal to the successful preparation and delivery of our bespoke private charter flights. Working closely with the Operations department, the role will entail meticulous planning of flights, involving arranging handling agents to inflight catering and passenger transport down-route. The role requires close liaison with client’s agents to ensure their experience is beyond their expectations.

Reporting to the Charter Supervisor and based at Doncaster Airport, the position is full time, working Monday to Friday. Some flexibility may be required to work outside of normal hours dependent on the flight programme.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with the customer agents to ensure all flight details are correct, and respond swiftly to requests and changes.
  • Arrange ground handling services, refuelling, airport slots, PPR and extensions where necessary.
  • Providing accurate passenger information to the relevant customs & immigration authorities.
  • Ordering appropriate pre-departure and in-flight catering.
  • Assisting with aircraft preparation and standards.
  • Provide an accurate, detailed brief to the pilots and Operations team.

The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in an Operations department or Handling Agent, ideally within a similar role.
  • Strong academic achievement, typically to O level/GCSE standard or equivalent, with a strong attainment in Science and Maths, indicating strong numeracy skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of civilian aircrew/commercial aviation rules and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of crew planning and rostering systems, including an understanding of potential issues and how they may be resolved
  • Excellent communicator and team player, able to build credible trusting relationships both within and outside of own department.
  • Able to work well under pressure, ensuring a continued attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work on own initiative, continually seeking improvements.
  • Excellent IT skills, fully competent in full Microsoft Office suite.

 

In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK.
