Description:This position is located at customer site Stewart AFB, NY. Lead C-130 Avionics/Electrical Field Service Engineer (FSE). The FSE will advise/assist the customer on all matters pertaining to the daily maintenance, inspection, logistics, and operation of the C-130 aircraft. Applicant requires extensive C-130 aircraft experience with the C-130 Avionics and/or Electrical systems and must possess a general knowledge of all aircraft systems. Experience in troubleshooting, operation, modification and inspection methods relative to the installed systems is essential. Position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels; excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Tasks include but are not limited to the following: Provide on-site/on-equipment engineering assistance and technical advice including investigation, engineering analysis and interpretation of results to customer personnel. Assistance to the customer will be provided on all aspects of equipment operations including installation, maintenance and operation techniques, adjustment, calibration, trouble shooting, bench check, routine maintenance, inspection and intermediate level repair. Provide advice in the identification of and instruction on the use of special tools, handling equipment and test equipment associated with the C-130 aircraft. Provide advice and assistance on the use and interpretation of C-130 technical orders, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and other related technical publications. Provide on-going surveillance of shop maintenance and safety practices; provide technical advice and recommend corrective measures necessary to ensure adequate maintenance and safety procedures are followed to minimize future problems. Assist the customer in troubleshooting of unusual and difficult maintenance issues associated with C-130 aircraft. Analyze maintenance problems and suggest improvements where indicated. Provide liaison between customer, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Depot on related maintenance and operational problems. Provide advice as requested to assist in accident investigation and preparing failure data reports. Candidate must be willing to travel and accept assignment to any location for which selected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Provide liaison through which information related to maintenance and operational problems can be quickly disseminated to operational and maintenance personnel.

Must be a US Citizen. Must have at least an Interim Secret Security Clearance to start. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must pass Medical Physical after offer acceptance.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of legacy C-130 Avionics and/or Electrical experience
- A working knowledge of all legacy C-130 systems
- A minimum of 2 year as a legacy C-130 Field Service Representative/Engineer or Contract Maintenance Team member

- Proficient with MS Office Software Suite
Desired Skills:
The following are desired but not required:
- Ten or more years of C-130 Avionics and/or Electrical Experience
- C-130 experience at military customer operational site
- Experience in troubleshooting, operation, and inspection methods relative to all installed systems
- Experience working with C-130 Fleet Introduction at a customer site
