Buyer - Procurement Officer - Glasgow

We are looking for a dynamic Buyer - Procurement Officer to join our global aviation client on a temp to perm basis, based at their Engineering Maintenance facilities near Glasgow Airport, on a temp to perm or perm basis.

As part of the Engineering Maintenance team the Buyer - Procurement Officer will be responsible for a range of purchasing and procurement transactions to ensure that production targets are met in time.

Responsibilities will include:
* Planning/ Purchasing/ Expediting / Shortage co-ordinator for all parts
* Lead the procurement process focussing on cost control and participating in cost / stock holding reduction strategies
* Expedite materials to ensure on time delivery of goods
* Maintain internal interfaces with key stakeholders
* Provide on-going purchasing administration
* Reporting, forecasting and budgeting on all aspects of spending

Key Skills Required:
* Ability to interpret MRP actions and ensure orders are in place to support internal demand
* IT skills to collate, monitor and provide reporting information to internal stakeholders. - analytical and problem-solving skills
* Communication skills - ability to be inclusive and also present suggestions in a positive, constructive manner
* Adaptable to changes related to continuous improvement
* 2 years+ purchasing experience in manufacturing environment
