Job Outline

  • Track UK performance relative to the country’s revenue target and isolate performance indicators that have been critical in the UK reaching or not reaching target.  Additional focus on revenue by segment and distribution channel in tracking performance; include direct revenue and online sourced revenue to provide a complete picture of UK performance.
  • Interrogate BSP and MIDT figures on a weekly basis and identify trends of commercial interest; change in contribution by agent, cabin mix, class mix etc.  Identify trends, draw conclusions and make recommendations to improve performance where necessary/appropriate to Manager National Accounts & Strategy Development
  • Design, develop and produce commercial reports that are relevant and useful to the Sales teams and for key commercial stakeholders across the UK.
  • On a monthly basis or as required:
    • Generate revenue reports for each of the PLI supported National Accounts.
    • Effectively audit and control the Agency chain listings for the National Accounts. 
  • Produce reports for key UK stakeholders both forward looking (e.g BSP ticketing activity, MIDT market share, forward bookings) and historic (e.g flown revenue).
  • Monitor booking class availability and inventory access on our key routes.
  • When tactical fares expire, report on the success of fare initiatives by identifying revenue generated, routes sold and contribution by agent.
  • Research and keep relevant benchmarking statistics on key performance indicators of the business,   competitors and industry updated for use as appropriate.
  • Independently pursue leads, prepare, analyse and advise UK Sales teams on commercial opportunities.
  • Compile and analyse intelligence on competitor activities in terms of market share for review by the Sales teams. Monitor the data and prepare clients’ productivity information for all segments in order to enhance sales steering.
  • Support the analysis and construction of incentive agreements to ensure they are appropriately targeted, optimised and in line with HO requirements. Prepare framework for all agreements and support Sales in the negotiation process to ensure payments are in line with local budgets, issuance of agreements and check on incentive payment calculations.
  • Support Manager National Accounts & Strategy Development in the preparation of performance presentations.
  • Be the first point of contact and champion use of Salesforce.com and business intelligence for the UK team. Analyse Sales Executive call effectiveness and drive the best practice use of available data and BI steering utilisation and establishing efficiencies.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics or a related subject involving Engineering, Maths, Economics or Data Science. 
  • Experience within an Airline, related to commercial operations advantageous but not necessary
  • A combined knowledge of Computer Science and applications, modelling, statistics, analytics and maths to solve problems.
  • Ability to look at numbers, trends and data and provide new insights to influence how business challenges can be approached.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • An ability to quickly become proficient in in-house reporting systems; e-Smash, One Network, Target.com etc.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel/ Word and PowerPoint.
