About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division. ​ This position is responsible for the support of Business Analytics by preparing training material and instruction manuals and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. Responsible for specialized tasks in technical writing, technical training, and instructional design/development. The successful candidate will coordinate, manage and edit training videos created by technical staff, as well as scheduling and enrollment of Business Analytics training classes.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication

* Develops, organizes and delivers technical training programs, related materials and/or interactive courseware

* Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users

* Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements

* Organizes, writes, edits and produces original technical documentation

* Plans, designs, implements and maintains computer/web-based training modules

* Selects appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos

* May be expected to work evenings and weekends to coordinate with those in other time zones or to meet deadlines

* Revises documents as the need arises

* Limited travel, domestically and internationally, as required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Associate’s degree and at least 10 years relevant work experience

* Proficiency using MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project)

* Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat to create and edit PDF documents

* Experience with TechSmith Camtasia

* Strong organization, planning, and interpersonal skills

* Strong communication skills – able to take complex, technical information and translate it into well-designed classroom material for non-technical users

* Detail-oriented in creating detailed, precise and easy-to-use instructions for other to follow.

* Must have excellent writing skills to be explain technical information clearly

* Demonstrable experience writing technical documentation and newsletter articles

* Must have a sense of imagination and be able to think about a procedure or method in a way that a person without technical experience would think about it

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or Communications with 5 years relevant work experience

* Airline experience and knowledge a plus
