The Role

The Licensed Engineer reports to the Shift Supervisor or Production Manager & will be responsible for supervising or performing maintenance checks/tasks ensuring the most efficient use of manpower and resources to enable the safe completion of maintenance within an agreed timeframe whenever possible

 

Expectations of the role

  • To carry out maintenance actions tasks as detailed by the Production Manager, shift supervisor or Check Lead.

  • To manage and run scheduled and unscheduled inputs as Check Lead as and when directed by Production Manager or Shift Supervisor.

  • To ensure all tasks undertaken are carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and company procedures and are duly certified on completion.

  • To certify aircraft maintenance tasks carried out by themselves and by non-certifying engineers.

  • To ensure that tasks allocated to non-certifying engineers are carried out as efficiently as possible and within proven flat rate time allowances.

  • To liaise with customers, manufacturers support representatives, regulatory authority representatives and company management and support personnel as required.

  • To bring to the Shift Supervisor or Production Manager attention any potential disciplinary issues and shortfalls in performance of the staff in their charge.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality
  • To ensure the daily shift handover log is completed daily for the A/C in your charge.

  • To deputise for the Shift Supervisor in his absence.

Qualifications/Experience

  • EASA Part 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance License
  • Must have full UK Driving License
  • 3 years experience relating to maintenance of operating aircraft
