Reportingto the Project / Shift Manager, the Lead Technician is responsible foroverseeing, directing and orienting Technicians to execute their work inaccordance to task requirements and in line with the Company Repair Stationprocedures and requirements, ensuring compliance to FAA/EASA regulations and inline with OEM MPDs, and in so doing delivering efficient high quality work withsafety being their uncompromised priority.



Ensurethe highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with theobjective of exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliableand clean aircraft, in a timely manner.

* Directand supervise assigned Technicians (Aircraft Mechanics, Sheet Metal Mechanics,Avionic Technicians, Outside Services personnel), guiding and advisingtechnical activity in accordance with the Task Card/MPD, Repair Station Manualand FAA regulations.

* Become familiar with and follow the requirements of this RepairStation Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives,Advisory Circulars, Manufacturer’s Service Bulletins, Aircraft MaintenanceManuals (AMM), Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), Fault Isolation Manual(FIM), Wiring Diagram Manual (WDM), Standard Wiring Practices Manual (SWPM),and any other required to perform their assigned work. Never begin anymaintenance unless in possession of the proper, current and applicable approvedor acceptable data.

* Provideleadership and direction, coach and mentor technicians to consistently deliverexcellence in their job execution as individuals and team players, ensuringhigh quality and efficient workmanship for on-time re-delivery of aircraft.
* Securecommitment and accountability at all levels in execution of both work andaccurate supporting documentation.
* Ensurework schedule is in line with established project plan for each aircraft to beserviced in accordance with the Workscope and respective timeline.
* AssistProject Manager in elaborating detailed Shift Handover instructions and WorkInterruption logs.
* Superviseand monitor Man Hour utilization in collaboration with Production Planning andControl. Make sure that all labor and materials used are allocated to theproper work order and item number.
* Workclosely with Inspectors in order to prevent time wastage due to unnecessarydelays, interruptions and duplicate work.
* Reportto Project Manager any parts requirements and always carry out Purchase Orderrequests and Parts Consumption in accordance with Company procedures anddocumentation requirements including sign-offs.
* Supportthe Project Manager in making sure that all Maintenance Personnel are qualifiedto accomplish the duties assigned to them.
* Verifythat tool required by Technicians are available and if not to work with Storesto provision them prior to commencing the tasks.
* OverseeTechnicians to ensure the work area and hangar is kept to the highest standardsof safety, compliant at all times, enforcing regulations and practices to avoidaccidents. Strictly enforce good housekeeping practices at all times with anobjective of securing an environment conducive to employee well-being.
* Reportany incident immediately to Quality & Safety in accordance with Companypolicies and procedures. Scrutinize the proper tagging of Aircraft components,parts and panels appropriately stored (including racks by aircraft).
* Demandand accomplish document procedures and sign-offs in accordance with RepairStation Manual and respective tasks.
* Strivefor continuous process improvements and increasing efficiencies in executionand delivery with safety as a priority.
* Maintainclose and frequent communication with the Project Manager, notifying him/her ofprogress and any road-blocks or threats to the project’s critical path that couldimpact re-delivery.
* Reviewdaily performance and progress on aircraft to determine if any alteration tothe plan and schedule is necessary and to ensure that tasks are completedwithin budgeted time.
* Collaboratewith the Director of Quality and Safety and the Training department toestablish On-The-Job Training Programs (OJT) for maintenance personnel andcoordinate participation in training programs as appropriate. Participate inrelevant development training including General :
Familiarization Certification.
* Requestregular progress meetings with Project Manager and all relevant departmentheads and personnel concerning operational requirements and activities, clearlyestablishing objectives and actions.
* Dealwith Customers in a cordial, respectful and professional manner, and to see toit that all personnel behave accordingly.
* Ensurethat tools and equipment are correctly used and handled by Technicians for bothsafety and to reduce breakages, wear and tear. Require Technicians to reportany tool malfunction promptly to the Stores with supporting documentation asper the Company’s processes.
* Ensuretask card (entry/exit) times and materials used are recorded accurately and ina timely manner to task card employee is actively working.
* Supportthe Project Manager with other business activities as needed.

EDUCATION:HighSchool Diploma/GED.





LICENSES / CERTIFICATION: Current FAA Airframeor Repairman’s certificate required.





EXPERIENCE:At least 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience asan Avionics Technician.





KNOWLEDGE& SKILLS:



Strong leadership skills. Effective decision-makingskills. Strong negotiating skills. Excellent written and oral communicationskills in order to effectively interact with all levels of staff from differentdepartments effectively. Excellentorganizational and problem-solving skills in order to prioritize workloadaccording to business demands and works well under pressure. Must have owntools, as provided on CJ list of required tooling. Is required to be proficientin oral and written English.
