JOB SUMMARY



Thishourly non-exempt position requires a strong knowledge of aircraft avionics andelectronics systems. The job includesvarying amounts of parts replacement or repair, electrical troubleshooting andGeneral :
mechanical applications. Job duties will vary each day and aredesignated by the Project Coordinator or Lead in charge of the project. May berequired to work independently.





ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS


* Thisshall include, but not be limited to items such as removal and installation ofpanels, component’s and interiors, as well as repair work on avionicsinstallations.
* Stamp,bundle and install connectors on wiring.
* Removalof old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
* Troubleshootingand evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft efficiently.
* Inspectionand evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
* Aircraftmovement and assistance in hangar stack when required.
* Maintenanceand repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.
* Workindependently on projects on a regular basis.
* Workwithin a team process.
* Groundtest and flight test support as required.
* Anyother job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.




JOBSPECIFICATIONS





Education



High school diploma or equivalent.



Electronics training classes.



Avionics training preferred.





Experience



3 years prior experience on aircraftavionics maintenance installations preferred.



Corporate aircraft experiencepreferred.





Initiative



Self-motivated and maintain a rapidpace.



Process work with minimum supervision.





Responsibility



Attend workevery day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments. Notifysupervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.



Must havereliable transportation to get to work each and every day.



Must perform all work in accordancewith Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.



Follow all company and safety rulesduring performance of duties.



Maintain customer oriented workhabits.

Customers or outside vendors.





PhysicalRequirements



Lift at least 50 lbs.



Routine walking, bending and squattingor sitting.



Routing or repetitive physical motionwith arms and hands.





MentalRequirements



Understanding and implementation ofregulations and guidelines.



Follow wiring diagrams, route andterminate wires at proper locations.



Troubleshoot, evaluate and performfunctional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.



Work with others in a professionalmanner.





Supervision



Will work under supervision ofassigned Team Leader and Installations Manager.



May be directed to supervise othertechnicians in some capacity.



Work with minimal supervision whenrequired.




Working Conditions :


The majority of work will beaccomplished in a heated hangar.



Work outside during aircraft runs willoccur.



Varied positions in and around theaircraft.





Equipment Used



Personal hand tools supplied by theinstaller.



Pneumatic, hydraulic and electricalequipment.



Jacks, stands, lifts and other supportdevices.



Tugs, power carts and other enginepowered equipment.



Crimpers, soldering iron and heatguns.
