Sierra West Airlines is seeking an Avionics A & P Technician to support cargo-company aircraft.

Responsibilities

* Accept duties as both an avionics and A&P mechanic
* Perform all daily preventative and routine maintenance and servicing of avionics
* Inspect, maintain, operate, repair, and service satisfactorily the following systems
* Launch and recovery of the aircraft
* Preflight, Thru-flight, and Basic Post Flight inspections
* Calendar, Hourly and Phase inspections, maintenance, and servicing
* Accomplish engine removal, installation, tracking and routine maintenance
* Submit Material Deficiency Reports in accordance with the customer Product Improvement Program
* Submit Report of Item Discrepancy in accordance with the customer Supply Procedures
* Upon approval, comply with the Service Bulletin
* Repair and servicing of avionics, systems, and components from the daily operation of the aircraft
* Repair, service, and functionally test the assemblies, subassemblies, and components from the daily operation to the Original Equipment Manufacturer Specifications
* Ensure the assemblies, subassemblies, and components, upon completion of the work have the appropriate documents and tags with the correct signatures and stamps identifying the assemblies, subassemblies, and components have been functionally tested, serviceable, and ready for installation
* Store the assemblies, subassemblies, and components in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer Specifications
* Certify that the work performed on the aircraft at all times is in accordance with OEM service and technical publications, and the customer Instructions and Manuals
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* A&P licensed Avionics Technician
* 5+ years experience on aircraft avionics
* Knowledge of FAA regulations for performing inspections, maintenance, modification, repair and serving of aircraft
* Knowledge of FAA safety regulations
* Educated and experienced to troubleshoot and repair Automatic Flight Control system, Communications system, Electrics system, Instruments system, Navigation system, Radar system and the other avionics systems installed on company aircraft.
* Knowledge and proficient in aligning, adjusting, and using applicable electronic measuring equipment, applicable support equipment, and applicable test equipment
* Proficient in using standard business computer systems and software
* Knowledgeable and proficient in using Technical publications relating to work responsibilities
* Must be able to pass a company background check and drug test
