Not only is Garmin the leader in all-things GPS, but, if selected as an Aviation Associate Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for assisting department Directors, sales managers and their customers in daily activities required to sell and support our products. The position will encompass daily interaction with various departments internally. Garmin dealers and business partners, following-up on dealer, partner and end-customer requests, communicating the monthly product forecast internally, graphing sales results and expectations and other duties as assigned. Some travel is required as this individual will attend some major tradeshows to demonstrate product to end-customers, present product seminars, and provide sales support at regional sales events and partner exhibits.

We are looking for a full time Aviation Associate Sales Manager for our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role you will cultivate successful internal and external customer relationships that focus on mutual benefit, maximizing the partnership potential, and driving to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations and become the recognized alternate Garmin point of contact for each Garmin dealer and partner and be a customer advocate for them within our organization. Other essential functions include:

* Cultivate successful internal and external customer relationships that focus on mutual benefit, maximizing the partnership potential, and driving to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations
* Become the recognized alternate Garmin point of contact for OEM partners and be a customer advocate for them within our Organization: * Support Sales Managers and Directors with development and execution of proposal responses, product and program analysis, and contract execution
* Support increasing sales by planning and attending industry events and be capable of articulating competitive benefits of Garmin products and systems
* Support Sales Managers and Directors with the monthly and quarterly execution of financial reports and customer programs
* Manage monthly, quarterly, yearly and long-term planning tools to facilitate management review and direction
* Assist in collecting and compiling competitive and market intelligence
* Develop well-organized and informative product presentations and business proposals
* Work with all necessary departments on new product introduction. Ensure that all special requirements for the aviation group are implemented/adhered to

Other responsibilities:

* Remain current with regard to changes in policies, procedures and product offerings and continually expand personal technical, system and competitive product knowledge
* Occasionally visit Garmin OEM’s and partners with Sales Managers
* Occasionally deliver presentations to customers
* Assist with special projects as assigned
* Project Management as assigned

Qualifications

Qualified candidates possess a Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing from an accredited four year college or university or a field relevant for successful performance of the essential functions of this job description, possess current pilot certification and one year sales experience. Other requirements include:

Active Private Pilot, Instrument Rating a plus

1+ years of relevant experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must demonstrate a proven track record in meeting and achieving goals

Must possess demonstrated analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered

Ability to present to large groups

Must be detail-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and a strong passion and enthusiasm for customer satisfaction.

Must have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment

Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality- must take great pride in the work you product

Candidates with demonstrated operational knowledge of Garmin products, general understanding of the avionics competitive landscape, products and systems and general knowledge of aircraft systems is highly preferred!
