The Flight Controls and Autonomy team is currently seeking highly motivated technology pioneers with a desire to steer and lead the Autonomy industry. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work on highly complex challenging problems, leading to world-changing technological breakthroughs.

Team’s technical areas of emphasis include Fly-By-Wire Flight Control Systems, Guidance/Navigation & Control (GNC), Flight Test, Autonomy, Aviation Robotics, Perception, AI and Motion Planning.

Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software for air vehicle perception using various sensor input devices including LIDAR, Cameras, GPS, IMU and others. You will help define requirements, design, develop, and test perception functions for autonomous vehicles. In addition, engineer will craft perception software for air vehicles by researching and improving existing algorithms. Design, develop and maintain system tools for product development and verification. Performance optimization of software and algorithms for higher update rates and real-time execution.

Basic Qualifications:
B.S. Electrical Engineering or
B.S. Computer Engineering or
B.S. Robotics Engineering or
B.S. Computer Science
Desired Skills:
MS Preferred
5+ Years of Experience

• Hands-on experience in processing Lidar, radar and camera data with environmental modeling, and/or sensor fusion
• Deep understanding and hands-on expertise of programming languages such as C, C++ and Python.
• Hands on knowledge on quality metrics for various perception functionality
• Familiarity with team SW development process and tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to mentoring and team development
• Familiarity to debug hardware issues
• Experience developing real-time LIDAR Perception and/or Computer Vision systems
• Experience working on safety-critical systems
• Experience in a regulated, safety critical environment
• Experience with GPU implementation
• Experience with FPGA implementation
• Experience in designing fault tolerant systems
