Description

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, Asia-Pacific, the Assistant Manager, Finance will be responsible for the Accounts Payable and Finance functions and reporting for some country offices, and the main responsibilities are for Japan.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the payroll and accounts payable functions of Asia-Pacific countries which includes coordinating month/year end accounting, monitoring cash flow and prepare the cashflow forecast.
Supervise Assistant, Accounting and Finance on processing vendor payment, staff expenditure claims.
Ensure compliance with Finance Policy Manual, Finance operating procedure and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Liaise with outsourced tax agent, accounting agent, payroll agent and external auditors to ensure compliance with statutory requirement.
Ad hoc tasks assignment from Manager, Finance or Regional Head of Corporate Service.
Ensure there is internal control compliance within the accounts payable functions and assist in improving processes and achieving efficiencies.
Participate in preparing financial results of various company activities.

Qualifications and Skills

University degree in Finance/Accounting; A minimum of 4/5 years’ relevant experience.
Proven team working ability;
Self-motivated and willing to take initiatives;
Good sense of order, accurate and precise working style;
Meticulous and an eye for details as required for accounts reconciliations support;
Innovative personality, flexible and good communicator;
Strong PC skills, particularly in MS Office, Excel and wordAble to deal with people at different levels within the organisation and from varying cultural backgrounds;
SAP experience is essential.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
