JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for general accounting, monthly closing, consolidated accounting and preparing required reporting package. Work with all upper level of Finance/Accounting Team as well as other department to support daily transactions. In addition may work with external/internal auditors for various audits such as financial statement audit and SOX compliance audit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting & Controllership

* Ensures proper recordkeeping and the accurate compilation of financial statements.
* Closes monthly general ledger at several affiliate International companies and work on consolidation on a timely basis.
* Reconciles and creates journal entries such as accruals, payroll and all other necessary entries.
* Manages daily cash flow and balance
* Supports domestic and international treasury transactions
* Interacts with various departments as needed for proper accounting and cash management.
* Participates in various audits and provide required information to auditors.
* Works with internal auditor on implementing and improving internal control process.
* Prepares consolidated financial statements such as P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements.
* Prepares monthly and quarterly reporting packages in a timely manner
* Prepares special accounting reports or analysis as required.

Other responsibilities

* Leads the implementation globally in best practices policies and procedures to ensure a high degree of compliance.
* Train and develop all subordinates utilizing both on-the-job and classroom training.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

* Possess a very strong knowledge of USGAAP including consolidated accounting such as intercompany eliminations.
* Fully understands how financial statements relate to each other and be able to prepare.
* Understands complex journal entries and reconciliations.
* Knowledge of IFRS preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) preferred.
* Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office applications.
* Demonstrates leadership and collaboration across all companies in following accounting guidelines and applies accounting knowledge to ensure entries are properly journaled.
* Strong ability to communicate, in English, both written and verbally to all levels of the organization.
* Ability to develop a big picture look across companies and in discussions with upper management.
* Very conscientious professional who is able to perform as a role model for other department members and to provide direction in the accounting area for proper accounting
* Uses professional concepts while applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
* CPA Certification desired.

Working Experience

* International business experience desired
* Minimum 10 years of diversified accounting experience.
* Working knowledge of other languages such as French is desired

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Working Conditions/Physical Elements

* Ability to start work at 8am or earlier (Preferred)
* Able to adapt and work across multiple cultures in a global environment

Travel Requirements

* Business travel (domestic and international) up to 20%
